Invitation to the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad (IZhO)

Dear friends,

We are delighted to invite you to the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad (IZhO) on Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science. This prestigious event, supported by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aims to foster international relationships, promote the importance of scientific knowledge, and enhance cooperation among STEM schools worldwide.

Event Details:

Date: 13th to 17th January 2025

Format: offline individual competition with team scoring

Team Composition: 7 participants, including 3 in Mathematics, 2 in Physics, and 2 in Computer Science, accompanied by 2 team leaders (physicist and mathematician) proficient in Kazakh, Russian, or English.

Eligibility: Teams may have fewer than seven members, and multiple teams from a single country or city are allowed (subject to Organizing Committee limitations).

Scoring and Awards: Individual scores determine the results in each subject area. Team rating is the sum of individual results. Outstanding schools will receive diplomas and valuable prizes.

DEADLINE FOR PAYMENT: 23 December 2024

The participation fee includes Pick-up and drop-off from the airport or train station, city transfers in Astana, a cultural program, three meals a day, and accommodation in standard double rooms at the hotel during the days of the Olympiad (check-in on January 13 from 2:00 PM, check-out on January 18 by 12:00 PM). Early check-in, late check-out, and single-room accommodation are charged separately.
